Octolens alternative

Bazzly vs Octolens

AI-filtered mention monitoring across Reddit and a dozen other platforms, delivered to Slack, email, webhooks, its API or MCP.

Best for Octolens: B2B and developer-tool teams that track brand and competitor mentions across many platforms and want them in Slack, a CRM or their own agents.

The short answer

Octolens is a social listening tool and Bazzly is a Reddit execution tool, so they meet only at discovery. Octolens tracks mentions of your brand and competitors across Reddit, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, GitHub, Hacker News, Stack Overflow, review sites and more, scores each one for relevance, sentiment and intent, and delivers it to Slack, email, webhooks, its API or MCP; its site describes no drafting or posting. Bazzly works on Reddit only and takes the thread to the finish: fit scoring, a drafted reply, posting through warmed accounts, upvotes and lead DMs. Choose Octolens to hear every mention across the web; choose Bazzly to turn Reddit threads into placed, visible comments.

How comments get posted

Octolens does not post. A mention lands in Slack, email, a webhook, the API or an MCP client, and you reply from your own account on whichever platform it came from. Bazzly posts the Reddit reply for you through aged accounts it warms and operates, or from your own account through its browser extension, and adds upvotes so the comment stays visible.

Account safety and removed comments

Octolens carries no posting risk because it never posts; the risk sits with the account you reply from afterwards, and on Reddit that account's age and karma decide whether the comment survives. Bazzly carries that risk for you: a warmed fleet, one account per thread, banned accounts retired, and a comment removed within 48 hours refunded automatically.

Finding the right threads

Octolens is broad and strong on noise control. One keyword list covers Reddit posts and comments, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Bluesky, Facebook, Instagram, Hacker News, GitHub, Stack Overflow, DEV and app-store and Trustpilot reviews, with podcasts, news, newsletters and the web on the Scale plan, and AI rates each mention high, medium or low for relevance and tags sentiment and intent such as buy intent. Bazzly is Reddit-only and goes deeper there: every post is scored for fit against your product, threads already ranking on Google are prioritised with traffic estimates, and Brand Signals tracks mentions of you and your competitors.

Running it hands-off

Octolens automates the listening: Pro refreshes hourly and Scale in real time, and webhooks, Zapier, n8n or Make can route mentions into your own workflows. Acting on a mention is up to you. Bazzly's Autopilot runs the whole Reddit loop on its own, finding, drafting, posting and upvoting within a daily pace and a relevance threshold you set.

Leads and DMs

Octolens tags buy-intent mentions and can send them on to a CRM such as Attio, but it has no outreach of its own. Bazzly flags posters asking for what you sell, drafts a DM from your template, and sends it from your own account through the extension with pacing and duplicate protection.

Working with AI agents

Both are strong here. Octolens includes a full API, webhooks and an MCP server on every plan, so an agent can read and route mentions. Bazzly exposes the full Reddit marketing loop over MCP and REST with an OpenAPI spec and one-click connect for Claude Code, Codex and Cursor, so an agent can also draft, post, upvote and message.

What Octolens does well

  • Very wide coverage, from Reddit comments to GitHub issues and app-store reviews, plus podcasts and news on Scale
  • AI relevance, sentiment and intent tags that keep common-word brand names usable
  • API, webhooks and an MCP server on every plan, unlimited seats, and a 7-day trial without a card

Where Bazzly differs

  • Octolens stops at the mention; Bazzly scores the Reddit thread, drafts the reply and posts it through warmed-up accounts it operates, or from your account through the extension.
  • Bazzly adds upvotes, prioritises threads that rank on Google, and refunds a comment removed within 48 hours.
  • Bazzly turns matching posters into leads with AI-drafted DMs from your own account; Octolens has no outreach of its own.
  • Bazzly is Reddit-only and runs it hands-off on Autopilot; Octolens is far wider but leaves every reply to you.

Which one to choose

Choose Octolens if

You need to catch mentions across X, LinkedIn, GitHub, Hacker News, reviews and Reddit in one feed, routed to Slack, a CRM or your own agents, and you will do the replying.

Choose Bazzly if

Reddit is the channel you want results from, and you want the comments posted, upvoted and the leads messaged without daily work.

  4. 4

    Turn on Autopilot

I tested 20+ Reddit tools. I always got disappointed. Then I tried Bazzly, loved it and got features I wanted within 2 hours by asking the support ⚑ I shared it in a lead magnet, nobody cared. Meanwhile I get clients from Reddit every week because of it.

πŸŽ‰ About 40 days later, up to 11k MRR!! I hate to do this, but one of my favorite new tools is actually another one from @tibo_maker... At first, I actually wasn't sure if I was going to keep using this product...took me a minute to figure out exactly how to get the most out of it and I still think I have a long way to go.... But, now I've been using @squad_so_ like crazy lately to automate tasks. I'm still learning to make it really efficient, but these are just some of the things I'm using it for right now: - cold emails - write weekly newsletters - write reddit dms and posts that I send with @FilipPanoski's @bazzlyai - create blog posts, and also edit posts that come from @outrank_so - automatically help with some dev tasks, trying to build this in more. - improve our customer service and automatically generate ideas / bug fixes based on feedback from customers - accounting/bookeeping - scripting for videos, and automatically posting carousel slideshows based on videos I posted Happy to share more on how I'm automating this. Let me know if there's anything in particular you're interested in! Huge thanks to @tibo_maker for the great products :) #founder #buildinpublic #ai

πŸŽ‰ Exceeded 7k MRR today!! Here are 3 things I do for marketing every day that have helped: 1. Bazzly β€” Been using @bazzlyai from @FilipPanoski. Definitely recommend it for finding leads on reddit. I know for sure we've converted some customers from this channel. But, also appreciate that it helps GEO/AEO by getting your product name out there on reddit. We're getting quite a bit of traffic now from ChatGPT and seeing Perplexity and show up more too. 2. Outrank β€” Kinda love @outrank_so from @tibo_maker. I built my own in-house process for writing content, but it still took quite a bit of management on my end and it didn't help us build backlinks. Now we're at 12DR and hit 300 clicks in the last 28 days. 3. Meta ads β€” Wasn't sure how profitable meta ads would be for us, but it's turning out to work well. It's obviously a much more expensive way to grow, but with the above a lot of our marketing is on auto-pilot. Going to keep focusing on these 3, but curious about other channels like LinkedIn and even focusing more on X. Haven't been super focused on X lately since the above has been working and I've been putting most of my energy into improving the product. Improving our conversion rate across our funnel and our retention our top priorities right now.

Bazzly has been the single best tool for our company being discovered more by AI. I've used similar tools in the past but they were low quality, comments were removed frequently, and their support was slow. Filip and the team have been a breathe of fresh air, bringing lightning quick response-times and not to mention deploying updates within literally minutes of bringing requests to their team. They are the ONLY choice if you're serious about growing organically from Reddit. 11/10

Got 8 users yesterday! That was my biggest journey so far! All organic: posting 3x a week on Indiehackers and Reddit Also started using Bazzly from @FilipPanoski for the Reddit game: finding leads + spotting high-SEO posts to comment on. Well done mate, this thing is a game changer!

Bazzly is a great app. It solves a real, meaningful problem. I know Filip personally as well, and everything he touches is high quality. The app is confirmation of this.
