F5Bot alternative

Bazzly vs F5Bot

Free keyword alerts for Reddit, Hacker News and Lobsters, by email. You read the alert and write the reply.

Best for F5Bot: Founders who want to know when a keyword comes up and will reply by hand, starting for free.

The short answer

F5Bot and Bazzly do different jobs. F5Bot watches Reddit, Hacker News and Lobsters for your keywords and emails you when one appears; its site describes nothing beyond that, and the free plan is genuinely free. Bazzly starts where the alert ends: it scores the thread for fit, drafts the reply, posts it through aged accounts it operates, adds upvotes and tracks the result. Start with F5Bot if you have the time to reply yourself and no budget; move to Bazzly when the replies are the bottleneck.

How comments get posted

F5Bot never posts. It sends an email (or, on the Gold plan, a Slack or Discord message) with the matching post, and you open Reddit and reply from your own account. Bazzly posts the reply for you through a fleet of aged accounts it warms and operates, or from your own account through its browser extension, and adds upvotes so the comment stays visible.

Account safety and removed comments

Because F5Bot only alerts, it carries no posting risk; whatever you post afterwards goes from your own account, with that account's age and karma deciding whether it survives subreddit filters. Bazzly carries the posting risk for you: comments go out from warmed accounts, one account per thread, banned accounts are retired, and a comment removed within 48 hours is refunded.

Finding the right threads

F5Bot matches keywords: every post containing your term is sent, and on the Silver and Gold plans you get filtering flags and, on Gold, AI filtering to cut the noise. Bazzly scores each matching post for fit against your product before anything is drafted, prioritises threads that already rank on Google, and keeps subreddit monitoring, Google-search tracking and competitor mentions in one dashboard.

Running it hands-off

There is nothing to automate in F5Bot beyond the alert itself: the free plan emails you, and Gold adds RSS and JSON feeds you could wire into your own tooling. Bazzly's Autopilot runs the whole loop on its own, finding, drafting, posting and upvoting within a daily pace and a relevance threshold you set, and pausing when credits run low.

Leads and DMs

F5Bot has no lead features; an alert about someone asking for a tool like yours is a lead only if you treat it as one and message them yourself. Bazzly flags posters who are asking for what you sell as leads, drafts a DM from your template, and sends it from your own account through the extension with pacing and duplicate protection.

Working with AI agents

F5Bot exposes RSS and JSON feeds and API access on the Gold plan, which an agent could poll, but no MCP server. Bazzly exposes the full loop over an MCP server and a REST API with an OpenAPI spec, including one-click connect for Claude Code, Codex and Cursor, so an agent can find opportunities, draft, queue and check results.

What F5Bot does well

  • A free plan with email alerts and no card
  • Covers Hacker News and Lobsters as well as Reddit
  • RSS and JSON feeds, AI filtering and Slack or Discord delivery on the Gold plan

Where Bazzly differs

  • F5Bot stops at the alert; Bazzly scores the thread, drafts the reply and posts it through warmed-up accounts it operates, or from your account through the extension.
  • Bazzly adds upvotes, targets threads that rank on Google, and refunds a comment removed within 48 hours.
  • Bazzly finds leads in the posts it scores and sends DMs from your own account; F5Bot has no lead features.
  • Bazzly runs hands-off on Autopilot and exposes everything over MCP and REST.

Switching to Bazzly

  1. 1

    Paste your product URL

Bazzly reads the page and builds the profile: description, audience, pain points, keywords, subreddits and Google searches. Two minutes, no keyword research.

  2. 2

    Bring what you already know

Add the subreddits and searches that worked for you elsewhere under Project Settings, and paste any reply guidelines into the AI reply instructions so drafts sound like you from day one.

  3. 3

    Post the first comment yourself

Open Opportunities, draft a reply, and post it through a warmed-up account. Watch it in the Reply Queue until it is live, then check the fit of the next few before trusting the threshold.

  4. 4

    Turn on Autopilot

Start at Moderate pace and the Very Relevant threshold, switch on upvotes, and let it run. Connect your AI agent from API & MCP if you want to drive it from Claude Code, Codex or Cursor.

FAQ

Can F5Bot post to Reddit for me?

No. Its site describes keyword alerts by email, Slack or Discord and nothing more. Bazzly posts the comment through warmed-up accounts it operates, or from your own account through its extension.

Is F5Bot really free?

Its site says free to use, no card required, with a free-forever plan that includes keyword alerts and email notifications. Paid plans add keyword limits, feeds, AI filtering and chat delivery.

Can I use F5Bot and Bazzly together?

Yes. Some founders keep an alert tool for Hacker News and Lobsters and let Bazzly handle Reddit end to end. Bazzly's own monitoring covers Reddit keywords, subreddits and Google-ranking threads.

Which is better for Reddit lead generation?

F5Bot tells you a post exists. Bazzly scores it, flags the poster as a lead when they are asking for what you sell, drafts the DM and sends it from your account through the extension.

Does F5Bot filter irrelevant posts?

The free plan has basic filtering flags, Silver adds advanced flags, and Gold adds AI filtering. Bazzly scores every post for fit against your product description and only surfaces the ones above your threshold.
