Troubleshooting / 2026 field guide
How to figure out why your Reddit posts keep getting removed
Work through removal messages, community rules and account eligibility before deciding what to change or who to ask.
What you’ll walk away with
A decision tree, an evidence log, a modmail template, and a pre-post checklist.
Made for: Founders and marketers whose posts disappear, get filtered, or never seem to reach anyone.
- A step-by-step diagnostic decision tree
- A guide to visible messages and eligibility checks
- A respectful moderator clarification template
- A checklist to use before your next post
Start the diagnosis
A quiet post is not proof of removal
Open the permalink, check for a removal or review notice, and record the message. Low votes or no comments alone cannot tell you what happened.

Can the guide reveal hidden AutoModerator thresholds?
No. Some moderation settings are not public. The guide helps you collect visible evidence and ask moderators a specific question instead of guessing.
Will following the checklist guarantee a post stays up?
No. Community rules, automated systems and moderator decisions vary. The checklist helps you identify common issues and choose an appropriate next step.
